Managing the Site Structure

  1. Structure is a useful admin tool that makes it easy to access all the site content and to manage the hierarchy of pages on the site.

  2. Select the 'Add-ons' button in the Admin main menu

  3. Select the 'Modules' link in the dropdown menu.

  4. Click on the link to 'Structure' in the 'Module Name' column. The structure page containing a list of all the pages on the site should load.

  5. Create a shortcut to the page - Click the link labeled 'Add +' in the main navigation.  This will create a shortcut to the structure page in the main navigation.

  6. The next time you need to go to Structure, simply click on the 'Structure' link in the main navigation.

  1. Plan out content for your new page offline.

  2. Go to Structure

  3. Every page you create will be a subpage of another page (the parent page).  Mouse over the name of the page which you'd like the new page to appear under and select 'Add Child Page.'

  4. You'll be prompted to add content for the new page.  Once you are finished setting up the page content, click 'Submit'.  If you don't wish to save the new page, navigate away from the content page without clicking 'Submit.'

  5. On some sites, clicking submit means the new page will now be live on your site. Other sites may require you to change the status to make the page live. Refer to your sites documentation to verify how to manage live content on your site.

  1. You may need to adjust the order of how pages are displayed on your site navigation.  Go to Structure to accomplish this.

  2. Mouse over the page you want to move - three parallel bars will appear next to the page name.

  3. Click and hold down over the three parallel bars, and drag the page to a new location in the site navigation. The updated navigation order will now be live on the site.

  1. Hiding a page from the site navigation will leave the page on the live site.  However, site visitors will not be able to get to the page from the main site navigation.

  2. Go to Structure and click on the page name

  3. Click on the tab labeled 'Structure'

  4. Change the value of 'Hide from Nav' from 'No' to 'Yes'

  5. Click 'Submit'

  6. To restore the page to the main navigation, change the value of 'Hide from Nav' back to 'No'
